FC is currently seeking an individual that will gain the knowledge and experience required for promotion to a Field Sales Agronomist position under direction of experienced personnel by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide a communication channel between the customer and location staff in order to set proper service expectations levels, resolve problems and scheduling issues.
Keep location personnel informed so that a consistent and proper message is communicated to the customer.
Work with other departments and locations to identify potential benefits to the customer from other company programs.
Maintain permanent or temporary CDL
Blend dry and liquid fertilizer
Troubleshoot Ag leader Yield Monitors
Understand common chemicals and what they control
Monitor and evaluate potential accounts receivable risks on current and potential customers in order to minimize the company's accounts receivable risk exposure.
Maintain and understand records of chemical repackaging agreements
Follow all FC Safety policies & procedures.
Entering insurance reporting into AS400
Understand the agronomy P/L
Demonstrate ability to use the following computer programs: Excel, word, Outlook, and Access.
SST Summit Pro - Convert Fertilizer. Recommendation into applicator files to spread VRT
Present solutions, products, services, concepts, and the value of FC's offer.
Understand customer licensing requirements for restricted-use pesticides
Build fertility recommendations based on yield goals
Recommend to grower the correct seed for the environment.
Understand the capabilities and limitations of equipment (floaters, rogators, tool bars, etc.)Requirements
EDUCATIONand/or
Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid driver's license. The position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in our motor vehicle safety policy. Failure to meet these qualifications could result in removal from this position. Also, must have a valid CDL driver's license with air brake, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements or be able to obtain one.
